No, the domain names will not impact the performance. Pick whatever works best for you. Who you choose to do the hosting and DNS WILL have a big impact on the performance so pay attention to that piece.

You can have your DNS resolver like ultradns, dnsmadeeasy, dyn dns, cloudflare.
I really wonder which one performs the best.
