1. How long did you stay with MaxCDN?
2. What was your cache-to-hit ratio at the end?
3. How long was your maxage/expires?

I think if you set your maxage/expires long, lets say 1 year, for your images, css, and js, over time you would reach better than 90% cache-to-hit ratio.
