best way to upgrade to 2.13?

hi all.
only quite recently got my private instance running (win 7 64 bit vm on linux). was wondering what's the best way to upgrade it without scrubbing my existing settings.
is it ok just to extract the zip and then overwrite the existing files...leaving the config files intact?

Yep - you should be able to drop the www directory from the zip directly on an existing install and it will keep all of the settings and existing tests.
